Introduction

Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (pmsby)is a special scheme announced by the central government in the budget speech of 2015.  The main objective of the scheme is to provide life security and insurance to people who are not covered in any of the existing schemes.  Majority of the people who are below poverty and who are unable to secure their lives with any of the insurance policies.  To facilitate and provide secure medical safety to that category the central government and also this scheme.  There are three different kinds of schemes which are majorly pertaining to the insurance and pension sectors,  the scheme names are Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.  These three different schemes are launched by the central government in 9th May 2015.

 

Details of scheme

These all three types of scales can avail by people who are below poverty and all other private and government sector people.  There are few more private pension schemes are also eligible to  provide the scheme benefits to the applicants. This scheme purely beneficiary for all middle class and poor populations.  irrespective of the financial status and economic growth of individuals anyone can avail the scheme benefits just by following the guidelines.

 

The main aim of the scheme and its roles and responsibilities is to deliver a proper life secure plan to each and every person.  there is no other such schemes available in the market through the government sector even through the private sector.  the nominal amount that needs to pay by the applicant is for the purpose of processing and maintaining the records only.  there are few more schemes which is going to launch very soon by the central government with the collaboration of state government.

 Pradhan mantri suraksha bima yojana

This scheme is majorly focusing on uncovered population who are unable to secure the accidental coverage due to the high premium amount per annum.  As said in the scheme by paying only 12 rupees per year by poor and below poverty population can avail the benefits of pradhan mantri suraksha bima yojana.

The age group for availing this scheme benefits is 18 years to 70 years.

To avail the scheme benefits person need to have a bank account which can be used for auto deduction of annual premium amount of rupees 12.  The premium amount will be deducted on or before 31st of may.  In this scheme the annual accidental coverage insurance is up to 2 lacs.

In case of any accidental death the accidental coverage premium of 2 lacs will be granted and in case of any permanent disability,  a grant of rupees 1 lakh will be given to  the beneficiary.  The amount will be  credited to the beneficiary account directly after completion of the documentation process.

 

 Eligibility criteria and how to apply

  •  People who are below poverty line or financially poor 10 able to avail this scheme.
  • The applicant should have a bank account which is working and also linked with aadhar card
  •  By filling a form that claims the approval of auto deduction to avail the scheme benefits as per the norms
  •  After successful completion of the form,  the amount rupees 12 will be deducted from the account thereafter the applicant is covered under the scheme
  •  The amount will be deducted automatically from the account every year on or before 31st may
  • The applicant can exit from the scheme at any point of the time and also can we join at any time.

This pension scheme is available across the nation and there are couple of other benefits which covers under the scheme.  In case of any accidental death august to the applicant will get  2 lakh death cover and in any case of the situation where the applicant is permanently disabled  when under the  scheme rupees 1 lakh will be granted to the applicant.
