ONLINE FIR MEGHALAYA

Meghalaya Police is implementing the Government of India’s Crime and Criminal Monitoring Network and Systems (CCTNS), which is a Task Mode Project. All Police Stations and Higher Police Offices in the state and around the country are computerized and networked under the CCTNS initiative. For convenience, all police offices are interconnected and centralized application work is carried out. The Meghalaya Police is committed to providing people with time-bound services and good governance in the state. To provide people with better and fast services, Meghalaya Police has launched the Citizen Portal online under the CCTNS Project.

The police have to be obedient to the Constitution of India and protect and maintain the citizens ‘ rights guaranteed by it. The police do not doubt the ownership or necessity of any duly enacted legislation. Without fear or favor, animosity, or vindictiveness, they should apply the law strongly and impartially. The police should understand the limits of their powers and duties and respect them. They should not usurp the duties of the judiciary or even appear to usurp them and sit in judgment on cases to avenge individuals and punish the guilty.

The Crime Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS) is a move of Meghalaya police towards excellence in linking all police stations & higher offices to state data centers and lodging FIRs online & monitoring/analysis data of crimes/criminals.
