Introduction

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation (MHUPA), by the Government of India, was the one to launch the scheme of National Urban Livelihood Mission.

National Urban Livelihood Mission was launched in India on 23rd of September, 2013. This National Urban Livelihood Mission was launched by replacing the Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana (SJSRY).

The National Urban Livelihood Mission was launched so that the Government of India could help to build up institutions from the very nominal and grass root level. This mission aims to allow the individuals to create their own career by training and developing their skills so that they can easily start up with their careers and lead a healthy life.

Eligibility criteria for the mission

The candidates should have their class twelve (class 12) mark sheet, a diploma degree, any post graduation certificate. If the candidate is having any more kind of educational qualifications with him or her then the office is always welcoming for the details to be shown.

The age limits are as follows:

  • The candidate should be within the age of twenty-eight to forty-five years of age (28years – 45years) in order to apply for the post-1, 3, 6.
  • The candidate must be of the age varying from twenty-eight to sixty-five (28 years – 65 years) for the post-2.
  • The candidate should be within the age limit of twenty-four to thirty-eighth (24 years – 38 years) in order to apply for the post-4.
  • The candidate should be of the age of eighteen years to thirty-five years (18 years – 35 years) to apply for the post-5.

The Government does the age relaxations accordingly as per the Government rules and regulations, of India.

Required Documents

The required documents are the mark sheet of class 12th board exams, any diploma degree certificate, any post graduation degree certificate and birth certificates and the address proofs.

There are postal addresses given in order to apply for the scheme, which is to the Officer of the State Mission and the Director of the state mission, Assam State Urban Livelihood Mission Society (DAY-NULM, Assam).
